Yellow Vetchling «Alshievsky» is a high-yielding variety, distinguished by a weakly branched bush with 4‑8 stems and a height up to 180 cm. The bushes easily regrow after cuts and are capable of producing a yield already in the first year of life. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness, drought resistance, and salt tolerance, which makes it suitable for cultivation even in unfavorable climatic conditions.
The period from vegetative growth to seed maturity is 86‑102 days, and the inter-phase period from spring regrowth to hay harvest is 52‑62 days. The yield of green mass reaches 250‑350 cts/ha, hay – about 35.5 cts/ha, and seeds – approximately 2.0 cts/ha. Nectar productivity can reach up to 300 kg/ha of vetchling honey, which confirms the variety's status as an excellent honey-producing plant.
The «Alshievsky» variety is widely used as feed and cover crop material due to its high nutritional value and resistance to pests. Seeds of the varieties have a purity of not less than 94% and germination above 75%, which ensures reliable growth and development of plants when sown.
