Sunflower NK Camen — a high-oil hybrid developed by Syngenta (Netherlands), intended for cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine. This mid-late maturing variety features plant heights ranging from 160 to 180 cm and demonstrates excellent stability and high productivity. The hybrid has a high oil content — up to 54% — making it one of the leaders in oil content within Syngenta’s lineup. Thanks to its rapid early growth and good resistance to stress, cold, and drought, NK Camen successfully adapts to various soil types and growing conditions, including minimal or zero tillage. One of the key features of the hybrid is its high resistance to diseases and lodging, as well as complete immunity to the flea beetle. The recommended optimal planting density is 45,000–50,000 plants per hectare; however, it is important to avoid excessive nitrogen fertilization and overplanting to reduce the risk of lodging. The hybrid performs best under balanced mineral nutrition, optimal irrigation, and early planting, which helps maximize its yield potential. NK Camen seeds are treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases during early growth stages. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various agroclimatic conditions in Ukraine, making it a versatile choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable sunflower yields with high oil content.
