SY Bacardi CLP — a mid-season sunflower hybrid developed by Syngenta for the Clearfield Plus technology, providing effective protection against weeds. The hybrid's vegetative period ranges from 106 to 115 days, and plant height reaches 150–170 cm. This hybrid belongs to the intensive adaptation type, allowing it to grow successfully in various climatic zones, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions, with maximum yield potential on fertile soils.
SY Bacardi CLP is characterized by high plasticity and stable yield, surpassing hybrids like NK Kondi in yield potential. Early growth stages feature moderate development rates, which aid in plant adaptation to different conditions. The hybrid is intended for linseed oil production with plant oil content up to 52%, making it attractive for farmers focused on quality products.
Special attention has been paid to SY Bacardi CLP's resistance to major sunflower diseases, including phomopsis, phomosis, gray mold, and sclerotinia, as well as to new biotypes of the flea beetle (tolerance classes A–E). This high resistance reduces yield loss risks and ensures production stability. Seed material is supplied in packages of 150,000 seeds, convenient for large-scale agricultural use.
