NK Countri (NK Countri) hybrid sunflower from Syngenta is a medium-early, intensive variety with high early growth vigor and significant yield potential reaching 5 tons per hectare. The vegetative period ranges from 112 to 125 days, allowing successful cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine. Plants reach a height of 150 to 170 cm and adapt well to various soil preparation technologies, including traditional methods.
One of the key advantages of this hybrid is its high resistance to several dangerous diseases, such as phomopsis, sclerotinia (white mold), phomosis, gray mold, as well as to race A-E of downy mildew. This ensures stable yields and reduces the risk of losses under adverse conditions. Seeds are treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases.
The hybrid features high oil content in seeds — up to 55% — making it attractive for oil production. It is recommended to avoid seed density to prevent lodging and ensure optimal growth conditions.
