NK Brio is a mid-early linoleic sunflower hybrid that leads in yield among classic hybrids. It is characterized by high stability and is suitable for cultivation in the Central and Northern Steppes, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia regions of Ukraine. Although it exhibits slower growth rates in early stages, this hybrid matures earlier than any other in its maturity group, enabling efficient harvest planning. To achieve maximum yield potential, intensive cultivation technologies are recommended, including quality protection of crops during the first weeks of vegetation, particularly using soil herbicides and preventive fungicides.
The NK Brio hybrid has a high yield potential — up to 5.2 tons per hectare, with yields varying between 39 and 50.5 centners per hectare depending on technology and weather conditions. Seed oil content reaches 52%, making this sunflower attractive for high-quality oil production. Additionally, seeds exhibit high resistance to major diseases such as fomopsis, fomosis, and white mold, as well as enhanced resistance to herbicides and phytotoxins.
For optimal yield formation, it is recommended to maintain planting density not exceeding 60,000 plants per hectare or 4.2–4.5 plants per linear meter. Seeds are supplied in 150,000-seed bags, ensuring convenience in sowing and planning agronomic activities. Farmer reviews confirm the high productivity and quality of the NK Brio hybrid, making it one of the most popular and reliable options for intensive sunflower cultivation in Ukraine.
