Sunflower Pegasus (NS 6341) is a mid-early hybrid from the company Eurossem, characterized by high yield up to 5.5 t/ha and stable oil content of 48–50%. The hybrid's vegetation period is 107–112 days, and plant height ranges from 170–190 cm. Pegasus has high drought resistance, rated 9 out of 9, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions, particularly in the Polissia, Steppe, and Forest-Steppe regions. The hybrid also exhibits resistance to lodging, which helps preserve yield during harvest.
A distinctive feature of sunflower Pegasus is its resistance to five races of Helminthosporium (A–E), providing protection on infested fields and increasing crop profitability. The hybrid is adapted to Clearfield® technology, which enables effective weed control and enhances crop productivity. Seeds are treated using Premium technology, which includes three fungicidal protectants, microfertilizer, and growth stimulator, further enhancing plant resistance to diseases and promoting healthy growth.
Recommended planting densities depend on soil moisture conditions: 58–63 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture and 48–53 thousand under dry conditions. Hybrid Pegasus stands out for its stability, resilience, and flexibility in planting density selection, making it popular among farmers seeking a reliable and high-yielding sunflower variety for various regions of Ukraine.
