Sunflower EU Pegasus

Yield stability in intensive farming

The ЕС Пегас sunflower hybrid from «Євросем» is a strategic choice for agronomists prioritizing technical efficiency and predictable results. Categorized as an early-maturing hybrid, it offers excellent opportunities for optimizing harvest schedules and crop rotation patterns.

Technological potential and herbicide protection

The primary advantage of this hybrid is its genetic compatibility with the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system. Being able to control the vast majority of weed species without risking phytotoxicity to the crop is a critical asset for farms facing significant weed pressure.

Key characteristics and field performance

• Vegetation period: 100–110 days. This accelerated ripening helps the crop escape late-summer environmental stress factors.
• Oil content: consistent levels of 45–50%, ensuring high market value for the harvested seeds.
• Morphology: plant height ranges from 170–180 cm. Uniform crop structure significantly simplifies the harvesting process.
• Immunity: the «Євросем» breeding program has equipped ЕС Пегас with high tolerance to a broad spectrum of diseases, including downy mildew (peronosporosis), phomopsis, phoma, as well as white and grey mold. This effectively reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications throughout the season.

Why choose ЕС Пегас?

This sunflower hybrid achieves its peak performance in regions with high risks of broadleaf and grass weed infestations. ЕС Пегас serves as a reliable workhorse for those who demand consistency under challenging climatic conditions. While the hybrid is robust enough to handle minor agronomic inconsistencies, it delivers maximum return on investment when managed with appropriate planting densities and timely application of imidazolinone-group herbicides.
