DK Excited rapeseed is a medium-maturing winter rapeseed hybrid developed by Dekalb selection, characterized by high yield potential up to 65 centners per hectare and high oil content in seeds. This hybrid has high compensatory ability and intensive branching, which contributes to maximum productivity under adequate moisture and elevated nitrogen nutrition. Due to these qualities, DK Excited is an optimal choice for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissia regions of Ukraine.
The hybrid is characterized by high winter hardiness and comprehensive resistance to major diseases, including turnip yellow mosaic virus (TuYV) and tolerance to fusarium. In the autumn period, DK Excited demonstrates rapid growth and development rates, enabling farmers to extend sowing periods, including early and late sowing. This adaptability makes it resilient to various soil types and climatic conditions, ensuring stable yields.
DK Excited efficiently utilizes mineral nitrogen, enhancing its productivity when fertilizers are applied optimally. The recommended sowing rate is 350–500 thousand seeds per hectare, depending on the sowing time. Thanks to its combination of high yield, disease resistance, and adaptability to soil conditions, this hybrid ensures reliable and efficient rapeseed production.
