Sunflower ES Berket is a high-yielding hybrid developed by the Ukrainian company Elita Select. This hybrid is characterized by high productivity, averaging 15-30 centners per hectare, and can reach up to 40-44.8 centners per hectare under optimal conditions and good agro-climatic conditions. The vegetation period is 105-110 days, allowing effective cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppes and forest-steppe regions. Plants reach a height of about 170 cm, have a strong stem and good leaf coverage, which promotes stable growth and development of the crop. ES Berket is characterized by high drought resistance and broad-spectrum disease resistance, including froge, fomosis, white and gray rot, as well as new aggressive strains of false powdery mildew. The hybrid is genetically resistant to herbicides of the imidazolinone group, especially to Evrolighting, and to five strains of downy mildew, significantly simplifying crop protection and enhancing the effectiveness of agronomic practices. Seeds have high oil content — approximately 49%, moisture content of 3%, and low weediness (1%), ensuring high product quality. The recommended plant density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare, which is optimal for achieving maximum yield. ES Berket responds well to high fertilizer rates, demonstrating vigorous early growth and stability during cultivation. This hybrid is a spring crop and suitable for planting under various agro-climatic conditions in Ukraine, making it a versatile and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
