ES VANILLA is a sunflower hybrid intended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Lower Volga, and Middle Volga. The plant belongs to medium-late and medium-early hybrids, has high stress resistance, and is adapted to Clearfield® technology. The stems are erect, reaching heights up to 100 cm, with large inflorescences up to 12 cm in diameter. The leaves are large, green with slight blistering, and the hairiness on the upper part of the stem is average. The head is of medium size, turned downwards on a bent stem; the seeds are narrowly egg-shaped with a black main color and pronounced marginal stripes. The hybrid is distinguished by high yield: in the Central Black Earth region it averages 31.3–32.9 c/ha, in the North Caucasus about 21.3 c/ha, in the Lower Volga 23.3 c/ha, and in the Middle Volga 30.6 c/ha. The maximum yield was recorded at 37.2 c/ha. Oil content in the seeds varies from 47.9% to 52.5%, ensuring high oil collection from 10.0 to 13.8 c/ha. The hybrid is resistant to five races of rust, moderately resistant to downy mildew, but susceptible to white mold. Sowing seeds is recommended in April-May directly into the open ground at a temperature of 18-21°C. ES VANILLA does not branch, which simplifies care and harvest collection. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, the hybrid is suitable for extensive cultivation technologies, providing stable and high yield and oil quality indicators.
