Sunflower variety BELGORODSKIY 94 represents a very early linoleic classic variety with high seed oil content, reaching an average of 49.1%. Plants have medium height, heart-shaped leaves with finely serrated edges, and lack or have very sparse hair on the upper stem part. The sunflower head is of medium size, inclined, and flat on the seed side at maturity. Seeds are elongated-oval, black with gray stripes along the edges and sides. The vegetation period belongs to the group from very early to early, which allows using the variety in various regions with different climatic conditions.
The variety has medium-level resistance to rust and rots, as well as high resistance to downy mildew and eight races of rust A-H. It is recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, Ural, Middle Volga, and West Siberia regions, as well as in the Penza and Volgograd regions. Seed yield varies from 14.4 to 25 c/ha on average across regions, with maximum indicators up to 49.1 c/ha. Fat content in seeds ranges from 44.3% to 46.7%, making this variety high-oil.
BELGORODSKIY 94 differs in good adaptation to various growing conditions, including drought resistance and developed root system. Optimal planting density is 30 cm without irrigation and 20 cm with irrigation. The variety is characterized by resistance to Clearfield Plus® herbicides, which facilitates weed control.
