The sunflower variety «Brigadir» is an early-maturing, high-yielding, and high-oil-content variety, distinguished by high productivity and resistance to major diseases and pests. This variety was developed through individual selection from the R-453 variety, followed by targeted cross-pollination of the best families, which ensured its high adaptability and stability. The duration of the vegetation period is 100-103 days, with maximum yields reaching 38.5 centners per hectare. Oil content in the seeds reaches 55.5%, making «Brigadir» attractive for the production of oilseed products.
Plants of the «Brigadir» variety have an average height of 170 to 180 cm, with no branching, which facilitates agricultural operations. Leaves are light green, medium-sized, the head is semi-down-facing with a curved stem and medium size. Ray florets are narrowly oval and yellow, tubular florets are orange. Seeds are medium-sized, narrowly oval in shape with a main black coloration. The variety is characterized by synchronized flowering and maturation phases, which facilitates harvest collection.
«Brigadir» is resistant to downy mildew, dodder types A-E, and sunflower moth, which significantly reduces the risk of yield losses. Additionally, the variety exhibits drought resistance, allowing for successful cultivation in the North Caucasus region, where it is recommended for growing. Classical cultivation technology is suitable for this variety, ensuring stable and high yield and seed quality indicators.
