Performer is a mid-early sunflower hybrid developed by the company Fundule from Romania. The vegetation period of the plant ranges from 117 to 123 days, and the height of the adult plant reaches 1.68-1.75 meters. Large earheads up to 25 centimeters in diameter securely hold the seeds, preventing shedding even in strong winds. The hybrid is distinguished by high yield, averaging from 3.8 to 4.5 tons per hectare, which allows significantly increasing profit from sown areas.
One of the key features of Performer is its high resistance to major sunflower diseases, such as phomopsis, white and gray mold, as well as downy mildew. The oil content of the seeds is within the range of 54-56%, making this hybrid attractive for producing high-quality oil. Genetic resistance to various races of sunflower wilt also contributes to yield stability and reduced losses.
The Performer F1 hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various soil and climatic conditions and is included in the state register of plant varieties suitable for distribution in Ukraine.
