Kulundinskii 3 is an early-maturing sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.) intended for cultivation in the West Siberian region, specifically in the Novosibirsk region. The plant is characterized by low to medium growth without branching, with green leaves of medium size and medium serration. Flowers are ligulate and tubular, yellow in color, the head is medium-sized, bent downwards, with a flat seed side. Seeds are of a wide-ovoid shape, medium or large size, with a black base color and gray marginal stripes. Average seed yield in the region reaches 11 c/ha, and under certain conditions, up to 27.2 c/ha, while the oil content in seeds is about 52.6%, which exceeds standard indicators. The hybrid is distinguished by high oiliness and technologibility, making it attractive for industrial oil production. It is drought- and frost-resistant, and also has good resistance to diseases, including downy mildew and dodder races A and B. Moreover, Kulundinskii 3 is weakly affected by white and gray molds, which contributes to a stable yield and reduced losses during storage and processing. For sowing, it is recommended to use a sowing rate of 55-60 thousand seeds per hectare, which ensures optimal plant development and maximum productivity. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptation to the climatic conditions of West Siberia and the Urals region, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality and high-yielding sunflower.
