Developed using nanotechnology in Canada in 2010, underwent hybrid frost resistance tests in the harsh Canadian climate. Stem height ranges from 140 cm to 160 cm, with a strong stem having a circumference of 10 cm. The rapeseed hybrid branches extend from the rapeseed root neck base at 8 cm and higher, reaching up to 112 cm in length, with a slight inclination of 38 degrees, resembling a cedar shape. The thickness of the developing rapeseed root neck along its length is 5 cm, and the leaf stem thickness is 3.5 cm. The forming stem thickness at the circumference is 3 cm, which increases to 5 cm upon full maturity. Plant mass during the 53-leaf development phase reaches up to 5 kg. Plant mass in the full rapeseed maturity phase is 15 kg.
Distinctive features compared to other rapeseed hybrids and varieties:
1) Rapeseed, by its biological structure, is a four-chambered plant, meaning each rapeseed pod has four partitions, with seeds arranged in four rows. It exhibits high yield due to its 15 cm long pods, heavy seed mass, and the fact that pods are spaced 5 cm or more apart, with 70 pods per branch. Each pod has four partitions, with seeds arranged in four rows, 50 seeds per row. It shows good frost resistance down to -25°C in dry winter conditions.
2) Resistant to abiotic stress — tolerates spring frosts during full plant development down to -20°C.
3) Immune to all rapeseed diseases affecting conventional hybrids and varieties such as alternaria, fusarium, downy mildew, bacterial blight, and others.
4) Resistant to all pests that attack conventional rapeseed varieties and hybrids (aphids, hidden-borer, caterpillars, etc.).
5) Resistant to soil salinity.
6) Resistant to pod splitting, due to white resin exuded from the rapeseed stem, which fully coats the pods and prevents them from falling off until the seeds are fully mature. This eliminates the need for desiccation, allowing direct harvesting using combine harvesters.
7) Resistant to lodging due to its strong, robust stem. This hybrid was sown in 2011 in Ukraine, in Dnepropetrovsk and Vinnytsia regions, and Crimea Autonomous Republic, enduring severe frosts of -30°C, and showed excellent yields of 30-40 centners per hectare of quality weight.
