Sunflower ES LEOPOLIS CL

French Breeding for Consistent Yields

The sunflower hybrid "ES Leopolis SL" from Euralis Semences represents the high standards of French breeding, specifically adapted for modern agricultural practices. As a member of the Clearfield system (Euro-Lightning), it has become a reliable tool for farmers who need to manage weeds and broomrape in industrial-scale sunflower production.

Agronomic Potential and Plant Defense

The primary focus of this hybrid is phytosanitary reliability. In intensive farming systems where soil pathogen loads can be significant, "ES Leopolis SL" demonstrates strong resistance to a range of critical diseases:

• Verticillium wilt and Sclerotinia (affecting both the head and the stalk);
• Rust, which frequently reduces photosynthetic efficiency;
• Phomopsis, a major threat in high-humidity regions that can significantly lower yield.

Development and Characteristics

The hybrid belongs to the mid-maturing segment with a growing season of 120–130 days. The plants reach a height of 160–170 cm, which is optimal for harvesting with standard headers. A medium-sized head combined with high oil content (45–50%) ensures consistent market results. As a simple hybrid, its genetics are focused on predictable growth under standard agronomic management.

Euralis Semences has earned a solid reputation for balancing yield performance with practical field technology. "ES Leopolis SL" fits perfectly into crop rotations that prioritize herbicide weed control using imidazolinones, offering high efficiency without the risk of phytotoxicity to the crop itself. It is a proven performer for growers who demand consistency and security in their field management.
