Milutin is a high-oil mid-early hybrid sunflower intended for oil production. The vegetation period is 115-120 days, making it suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones, including the North Caucasus region. Plants reach a height of 150-170 cm, have broad-oval seeds with black coloration and gray stripes. The flower head diameter ranges from 19 to 23 cm, and the 1000-seed mass is 50-60 g. The average oil content in the seeds reaches 49.9-52%, ensuring a high yield potential of up to 5.5 t/ha.
The hybrid demonstrates resistance to a range of diseases and stress factors. It shows high resistance to Phomopsis, moderate resistance to downy mildew (race A-E), and resistance to Phomopsis, rust, Alternaria, sunflower moth, and sunflower budworm. In field conditions, the hybrid is practically immune to false powdery mildew but susceptible to white mold. The absence of branching and moderate hairiness on the upper part of the stem contribute to good adaptability and plant resistance.
Milutin is a classic simple hybrid, included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region since 2005. Its high oil content and disease resistance make it attractive for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower crop. Recommended for cultivation in regions with appropriate climatic conditions, ensuring efficient land use and high profitability of production.
