Sugar beet MS HR 17

Stable yield and high sugar content

Opting for the МС ХР 17 hybrid by Sesvanderhave Nv/Sa is a pragmatic move for farms operating in regions with high disease pressure. The primary value of this hybrid lies in its ability to maintain productivity even in "tired" soils where pathogen levels for root rot and rhizomania are elevated.

Agronomic performance in the field

• Protective barrier: The hybrid possesses comprehensive genetic resistance to a wide range of diseases. In humid summers that trigger Cercospora leaf spot, the plants show robust resistance, reducing the need for excessive fungicide applications.
• Harvesting efficiency: The medium-sized, broad-conical root shape optimizes mechanical harvesting. Minimal side roots and easy soil detachment reduce yield loss and debris in the combine hopper.
• Economic output: With a sugar content of 19–20%, МС ХР 17 is a leader in sugar output per hectare. This makes it an ideal choice for growers supplying processing plants where payments are strictly based on quality parameters.

Practical application of МС ХР 17 shows the best results under intensive fertility management. The hybrid responds well to micronutrient applications, which, combined with its genetic potential, allows for maximum sugar accumulation even in dry seasons. Thanks to Belgian breeding by Sesvanderhave, the seeds demonstrate high germination energy, which is essential for uniform crop establishment and early-stage weed competition suppression.
