Ajio

Ajio is a high-yielding mid-season sunflower hybrid, adapted for cultivation in the forest-steppe, northern and central steppe regions of Ukraine. The maturity period ranges from 106 to 120 days, enabling the hybrid to successfully develop under various climatic conditions. Plants reach heights of 170-190 cm depending on soil fertility and moisture levels, demonstrating resistance to drought, frost, and temperature fluctuations.

Ajio belongs to the linoleic type with moderate growth intensity and high yield potential, reaching approximately 5 tons per hectare. Oil content in seeds varies from 49% to 54%, ensuring high oil productivity. Seeds are treated with the fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing reliable protection against pests and diseases, including resistance to downy mildew (races A-G), white mold, false powdery mildew, Phomopsis, and macrophomina.

To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain optimal planting density, which depends on soil moisture levels: 50-55 thousand plants per hectare under adequate moisture, 45-55 thousand under unstable conditions, and 35-45 thousand under insufficient moisture. The hybrid performs well on fertile soils and with high agronomic practices. Early planting and crop rotation contribute to stable yields and product quality.
