Sugar beet BACCARA is a diploid hybrid of the NZ-type, distinguished by its high productivity potential and stable yield. This variety has stood the test of time and is recommended for main harvesting periods, making it a versatile solution for all sugar beet growing regions. The root crops have a conical shape; the average weight of one root is about 743 grams, with a shallow position in the soil, a greenish upper part, and a white lower part. The foliage is green with a periericoid arrangement type; seedlings are characterized by a green color and a white hypocotyl. The BACCARA hybrid is characterized by high sugar content, with an average figure of 17.1% and a maximum value of up to 20.6%. The yield of root crops during the trial period reached 719 centners per hectare, with a maximum yield of up to 936 centners per hectare. Sugar collection is 124.4 centners per hectare, and sugar output at the factory reaches 104.7 centners per hectare. These figures confirm the good technological qualities of the hybrid and its suitability for industrial sugar production. Special attention is paid to the variety's resistance to major diseases of sugar beet. BACCARA has high resistance to rhizomania, Cercospora, powdery mildew, and stem streaking, as well as weak expression of double-leaf and branching. The hybrid is also resistant to heading and Ramularia, which ensures yield stability and reduces the risk of losses during cultivation. Thanks to these characteristics and high productivity, BACCARA is one of the leading hybrids in the sugar beet seed market.
