The sugar beet hybrid TORERO is intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. The plant is of medium height and medium maturity, characterized by high root crop yield, averaging 584.3 centners per hectare, with sugar content at 17.6%. The maximum recorded yield reached 1006 centners per hectare, and sugar recovery was 107.2 centners per hectare. TORERO is resistant to major diseases, ensuring yield stability and quality.
For effective protection of sugar beet TORERO crops from weeds, the use of a selective systemic herbicide based on metamitron and etofumesate is recommended. This product has soil and systemic action, effectively controls annual grass and broadleaf weeds without damaging sugar beet seedlings. The herbicide application rate is 2.0 liters per hectare, with up to three treatments.
The herbicide is available as a suspension concentrate and is applied at air temperatures of +5 °C. For treatment, a working solution volume of 200-300 liters per hectare is recommended. The high selectivity of the product preserves crop health and increases sugar beet TORERO yield, ensuring effective weed suppression at all growth stages.
