Sugar beet SVENA

Stable sugar yield: the potential of the "Svena" variety

The "Svena" sugar beet variety, developed by the breeding team led by Sergey Ivanovich Skachkov, is oriented towards farms aiming for a balance between high sugar content and harvesting efficiency. Under intensive farming conditions, this variety demonstrates consistent results, allowing agronomists to plan processing logistics with predictable performance metrics.

Agronomic features and application

• Optimal morphology: The oval-conical root shape ensures easy extraction from the soil during mechanical harvesting. This minimizes losses during the passage of beet harvesters and reduces the risk of root tip damage, which is critical for the preservation of the crop during long-term storage in clamps.
• Technological indicators: A sugar content of 18-19% makes "Svena" an attractive choice for sugar refineries. High sugar yield percentage allows the farm not only to meet total production targets but also to improve raw material quality grade, which directly impacts the purchase price.
• Sowing recommendations: The variety responds well to timely sowing and correct plant density management. Thanks to stable foliage development, the beets close the rows quickly, suppressing weed growth during the early vegetation period.

The practical scenario for using "Svena" involves fields with uniform soil fertility where a combination of high productivity and storage reliability is required. This variety is suitable for farms that prioritize timely crop protection and high-quality seedbed preparation. The stability of sugar accumulation allows for adjusting harvesting schedules depending on weather conditions without fear of a sharp decline in raw material quality.
