Sugar beet SC 140 F

Reliable harvest under high disease pressure

Belgian breeding by Sesvanderhave Nv/Sa is recognized for its pragmatic approach to crop protection. The “СЦ 140 Ф” hybrid is a solution for farms that face aggressive development of cercospora and powdery mildew every year. Unlike narrowly specialized varieties, this hybrid combines robust immunity with predictable root development.

Agronomic potential and root characteristics

СЦ 140 Ф belongs to the normal-sugar (NZ) type. This makes it a “sweet spot” for growers: you get not only a high sugar yield but also significant root mass. Its oval shape and large size contribute to excellent uniformity in the field, which is critical for operating modern harvesting equipment, minimizing digging losses.

• Phytosanitary resilience: The key advantage of the hybrid is its ability to resist rot and fungal diseases, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications.
• NZ type: High adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions while maintaining a stable sugar content level.
• Belgian quality: The originator (Sesvanderhave, Ooo Sesvanderhave) guarantees high standards for germination and initial growth vigor.

This hybrid is optimal for producers focused on gross yield with moderate risks of leaf damage. If sugar beet frequently returns to the same fields in your crop rotation, or if your region experiences the warm, humid climate that favors powdery mildew, СЦ 140 Ф is the tool to secure your harvest until the very end of the season.
