Description Mustang
The Mustang® sugar beet variety is a mid-season hybrid developed by Danish breeders from Maribo Hilleshog ApS. The vegetation period is about 152 days, ensuring stable and even plant development. This variety is characterized by high yields—up to 562 centners per hectare—and high sugar content, reaching 22.4%, making it profitable for industrial cultivation and processing.

MUSTANG® features large root crops with an average mass of about 1003 grams and deep soil immersion (about 82.5%), contributing to good resilience against unfavorable conditions and mechanical damage. The variety has high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, such as root rot, cercosporosis, and root maggot damage, reducing the need for intensive plant protection and increasing cultivation economic efficiency.

This variety is adapted to various climatic conditions and is recommended for cultivation in diverse regions, including the North Caucasus, Middle Volga, and Ural regions of Russia, as well as in the Almaty and Pavlodar oblasts. Due to its resilience and stable productivity, MUSTANG® is an optimal choice for farmers seeking high-quality sugar beet harvests.
