Description Kolobok
Potato variety Colobok is a medium-early yellow-fleshed variety with high yield and excellent taste qualities. The tubers of this variety are round, with yellow skin and slightly yellowish flesh, characterized by good storability and high starch and dry matter content. Thanks to these characteristics, the potato cooks well, does not darken during boiling, and has excellent taste, making it suitable for both table use and industrial production of dried potato products.

The Colobok variety is resistant to several diseases, including potato cancer, late blight, and viral infections, as well as to waterlogging and drought. These qualities ensure stable yields and allow potato cultivation in various climatic conditions, especially in the Central region of Russia. Tubers weigh between 93 and 118 grams, which is an optimal indicator for storage and transportation convenience.

To obtain high-quality planting material, it is recommended to grow potatoes from seedlings. Seed sowing is carried out in April at a temperature of 18-22ºC, with sprouts appearing within 8-12 days. Seedlings are transplanted into pots and planted in open ground at the end of May to early June, following a planting scheme of 70x20-25 cm. Regular watering, mineral fertilization, weeding, loosening, and pest control, such as against Colorado beetle, are essential care steps. Harvesting takes place at the end of August to early September, ensuring high-quality tubers with good storability.
