FD Starter Smart

FD Starter Smart is a sugar beet hybrid registered in the State Register for the North Caucasus and Volga-Vyatka regions. It belongs to late-maturing varieties with a vegetation period of 145-155 days, characterized by high yield and high sugar content. Plants have upright leaves with a pointed apex and medium wrinkling. The first-generation hybrid on a sterile Z-type base exhibits resistance to root rots, cercosporosis, and damage from root pests, ensuring stable yields under various conditions.

Average root crop yields range from 211 to 523 centners per hectare, with sugar content varying from 16.2% to 19.8%, and sugar harvest reaching 102.5 centners per hectare. Maximum yields in trials reached 678-757 centners per hectare, indicating the hybrid’s high potential. Plants are of medium height, facilitating care and harvest.

To enhance the cultivation efficiency of FD Starter Smart, modern agrotechnologies are recommended, including the CONVIZO® SMART system used by farms for soil monitoring, fertilizer application, and herbicide treatments. This integrated technology helps combat weeds and diseases, improving yield and sugar content, which can reach 79 tons per hectare and 17.5% respectively.
