Candimax

CANDIMAX is a one-seeded hybrid sugar beet variety intended for cultivation in regions with a temperate climate, such as the Volga-Vyatsky, Central Black Earth, and North Caucasus regions. The hybrid belongs to the mid-early varieties and is characterized by high yield and good sugar content in the roots. The plant is a diploid or triploid hybrid on a sterile basis of type N or NE, which ensures yield stability and quality.

In different regions, yield and sugar content indicators vary: in the Volga-Vyatsky region, the average yield reaches 445 centners per hectare with 18.0% sugar content, while in the Central Black Earth region, yield can reach 565 centners per hectare with a sugar content of 17.1%. Root mass ranges from 665 to 824 grams, indicating the hybrid's large-fruitedness. Sugar harvest per hectare in these regions reaches from 74 to 97 centners, making CANDIMAX profitable for industrial sugar production.

The CANDIMAX hybrid is distinguished by its high adaptability to various soil and climatic conditions, confirmed by successful cultivation in the Lipetsk region on heavy clay loam chernozems. Despite not being a leader in gross sugar output among studied sugar beet hybrids, CANDIMAX demonstrates stable yield and sugar content indicators, making it an attractive choice for farmers focused on quality sugar beet production.
