Spinach ZDOROVYAK

Working with 'Zdorovyak' spinach

When planning crops for early greens, the priority is always on varieties that perform consistently. 'Zdorovyak' from 'Heterozisnaya selektsiya' (Heterosis Selection) has proven itself to be a reliable choice. It is the type of spinach that shows uniform germination and forms a compact rosette, making it easy to manage without the crop turning into an unmanageable tangle.

Cultivation and maintenance tips

From an operator's perspective, this variety is highly responsive to irrigation. Without consistent moisture, the leaves lose their vibrant green color and turn tough. With proper watering, 'Zdorovyak' quickly gains mass, which allows for clean, efficient harvesting by hand — the leaves stay tight and intact.

• Consistent green color, which is crucial for market appeal.
• Adaptable to standard soil conditions and responds well to regular fertilization.
• Good bolt resistance, provided the sowing schedule is followed correctly.

There are no complex agrotechnical requirements. The key is to avoid overcrowding the rows to prevent rot. Furthermore, the leaves handle transport quite well, provided you avoid overheating during shipping. For a farm owner, this is a significant benefit, ensuring the product reaches the market in prime condition.
