The Kayli eggplant variety represents a medium-early oval fruit of intense dark purple color, which maintains its color saturation even under summer heat stress. The fruit mass ranges from 300-350 grams; however, they can be harvested at a smaller size without loss of storability, ensuring flexibility in harvest collection and improving quality. This variety is characterized by high fruit setting, including on side shoots, which promotes good fruit load under various growing conditions.

The Kayli plant features a short and open type with a small leaf apparatus, facilitating care and crop management. Thanks to these traits, the variety is well-suited for cultivation in glazed and low greenhouses, ensuring an extended turnover of produce. Yield of marketable fruits under plastic cover reaches 8.7-8.8 kg per square meter, making this variety attractive for commercial cultivation.

The Kayli variety was developed by Rijk Zwaan and is distinguished by stability and adaptability to various greenhouse growing conditions.
