Spinach EL LUCIO

Stable yields with high disease resistance

For professional spinach producers, balancing yield and health is the primary challenge. The EL Lucio hybrid by Syngenta is specifically engineered to provide consistent, high-quality results while mitigating the most common phytosanitary risks found in modern spinach cultivation.

Why choose EL Lucio?

• Superior Disease Profile: EL Lucio excels in its resistance to downy mildew (peronospora), a major threat to commercial spinach. Furthermore, it shows robust resistance against mycospharella spot, powdery mildew, and brown leaf spot, significantly reducing the need for intensive fungicide spraying.
• Market-Leading Appearance: The dark green leaf color is highly valued in the retail segment. This hybrid maintains its visual appeal throughout the post-harvest process, ensuring that the product looks fresh on the shelves longer.
• Reliability: Developed by Swiss experts at Syngenta, this hybrid is designed for reliability. It is a robust choice for growers who need to minimize harvest losses caused by environmental stress or fungal outbreaks.

Strategic fit for your production

This hybrid is the optimal choice for large-scale producers and those targeting high-end fresh produce markets. By selecting EL Lucio, you are choosing a variety that reduces production uncertainty. While it requires standard professional agronomic care, its genetic resilience makes it a workhorse in any crop rotation program.

If you are looking for a variety that combines visual quality with low vulnerability to pathogens, EL Lucio is one of the most reliable selections in the current Syngenta portfolio.
