Spinach Trailboss

Reliable Yields with Dutch Genetics

When working with the Trailboss hybrid from Enza Limited, the first thing you notice is its predictability. This spinach is a real workhorse for professional farming. Under intensive growing conditions, it performs consistently: the leaves have a rich, dark green color, which is crucial for marketability, whether for fresh produce or processing.

Field Performance and Disease Resistance

The main risk in spinach cultivation is downy mildew (peronospora). In this regard, Trailboss practically eliminates the need for constant worry. In practice, this means significantly lower fungicide costs and peace of mind during humid weather when pathogens are most active. The plant is sturdy and uniform, which greatly simplifies mechanical harvesting: the harvester moves smoothly, the cut is clean, and sorting waste is kept to a minimum.

Operational Insights

• Quality: The deep dark shade of the leaf persists long after harvest, ensuring the produce doesn't lose its appeal on the shelf within the first 24 hours.
• Agronomy: The hybrid responds well to standard feeding regimes and requires no special "tricks" to produce results.
• Harvesting: The convenient rosette architecture allows for quick harvesting across plots without excessive loss of biomass.

If you are looking for a variety that simply does the job—providing a high-volume, healthy harvest without unpleasant surprises—Trailboss meets that need. It is a choice for the reliability of Dutch breeding, perfect for those who value cost-efficiency and consistent end results.
