Acadia F1 spinach (Acadia F1) is a medium-maturing hybrid variety of Dutch selection from the company Enza Zaden, intended for cultivation both in open and protected soil. The plant forms a horizontal rosette of medium size, up to 19 cm high and weighing 50-60 g. The leaves are oval-shaped, large, dark green in color with a thick texture and short petioles, characterized by low blistering and uniform size. This variety is characterized by slow growth, allowing it to be grown throughout the season, including as a seasonal crop and on a windowsill, as well as suitable for baby leaf technology.
Acadia F1 is distinguished by high adaptability to climatic conditions and agronomic practices, well tolerating temperature fluctuations, cold and heat. The variety is resistant to diseases such as white rot, fusarium and downy mildew, ensuring stable and high yields up to 3-3.5 kg per square meter. For maximum productivity, it is recommended to plant spinach in fertile, well-drained soil with controlled watering.
The leaves of the Acadia F1 variety have excellent taste qualities and good marketability, making it popular for fresh consumption as well as processing. The leaves are ideal for adding to salad mixes, preparing various dishes and freezing for winter storage, which broadens the culinary applications of this spinach.
