Description SWAPA
Swapa soybean is an early-maturing determinate grain soybean variety, distinguished by high productivity and resistance to adverse conditions. Plants reach a height of 75 to 105 cm, have an intermediate form with gray pubescence on the stem and trifoliate narrow lanceolate green leaves. Flowers are small and white, and pods are slightly curved, light-colored with grayish pubescence, do not shatter or drop. Seeds are small, oval, yellow in color with a yellow hilum and white eye, with a mass of 1000 seeds amounting to about 150 g. The height of attachment of lower pods varies from 10.5 to 20 cm, which facilitates harvesting and reduces crop losses.

The Swapa variety is characterized by synchronous maturation and suitability for direct combine harvesting, which significantly eases the harvest process. It is resistant to lodging, shattering, and pod cracking, as well as having high resistance to root rots. During field trials in the Middle Volga region, no disease infestations were recorded, although in the Far East region, average septoria infestation was noted. Protein content in seeds reaches 32.1-38.9%, and fat – 22.4-22.7%, which makes this variety particularly valuable for grain production.

The variety was created by individual selection from a hybrid population and recommended for cultivation in the Central, Central Black Earth, and Western Siberian regions of Russia. The average yield of the variety is about 2.5-2.7 t/ha, with maximum indicators up to 3.68 t/ha and 37 c/ha in certain years. The main advantages of the Swapa variety include earliness, high resistance to diseases and adverse factors, as well as increased protein and fat content in seeds, which makes it in demand for agricultural production.
