Soy variety «Belgorodskaya 6» represents a high-yield and early-maturing variety recommended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth region of Russia, including the Kursk, Lipetsk, and Tambov regions. The plant is indeterminate, semi-straggling in form with grey pubescence; plant height reaches approximately 75.8 cm. Flowers are white, pods are light brown, seeds are spheroid-flattened, yellow with a brown umbilicus. Mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 142.1 to 150.8 g. The vegetation period is 102-114 days, making the variety medium-early and suitable for regions with a short summer.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, pod cracking and shattering, as well as good drought resistance. Under field conditions, the variety is moderately affected by septoria, which requires careful monitoring and application of protective agents. Protein content in seeds ranges from 31.6-38.2%, and fat from 22.0-23.8%, making «Belgorodskaya 6» attractive for the production of protein and oilseed products.
For successful cultivation, sowing is recommended at a soil temperature of not less than 12-14°C at a depth of 2-4 cm, with a sowing rate of 80-100 seeds per square meter and inter-row spacing of 36 cm. In agronomy, seed treatment with a fungicide, rhizotorphin inoculation, as well as the application of herbicides and insecticides as needed are important. To ensure full nutrition, nitrogen (up to 30 kg/ha), phosphorus (60-80 kg/ha), potassium (40-60 kg/ha), and microelements should be applied. The average yield of the variety in the region is approximately 13.4-21.4 c/ha, while maximum indicators reach 26.6-39.9 c/ha.
