The «Swallow» variety of soy is a mid-season crop with a vegetation period of about 125-127 days, developed by Kazakhstani breeders. Plants reach a height of 80-90 cm, are characterized by simultaneous pod maturation, which prevents cracking and shedding. The variety is characterized by high yield under irrigation — up to 43.7 c/ha, as well as a high protein content (39%) and fat (19%). Due to its drought resistance and disease resistance, «Swallow» is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
This legume crop has significant nutritional value, being a rich source of B group vitamins (B1, B2, B6), as well as vitamins PP, E, C, and K. Soy contains important mineral substances, such as potassium, calcium, and iron, which makes it indispensable in dietary nutrition. Sowing is carried out in spring to a depth of 4-5 cm with a row spacing of about 30 cm, which provides optimal conditions for plant growth and development.
The plant has a compact bush type with large green leaves that protect the pods from sunburn. «Swallow» demonstrates resistance to lodging, shedding, viral diseases, and bacterial blight, which contributes to crop preservation in field conditions. To increase productivity, regular irrigation and application of complex fertilizers with phosphorus and potassium are recommended. Thanks to these qualities, the variety enjoys the trust of farmers and gardeners, is successfully grown in open ground, and is adapted to various regions.
