IN 5543 IMI — a mid-early sunflower hybrid with high yield potential and stress tolerance. The vegetation period is 108-110 days, and plant height reaches 165-175 cm. The hybrid demonstrates stable yields in production conditions at 2.5-3.5 t/ha, and on trial plots, yields can reach 4.5 t/ha. Seeds have oil content of 48-50% and are treated with a fungicide, providing protection against diseases and promoting healthy plant growth. Seeding density at harvest is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare.
The IN 5543 IMI hybrid is characterized by high resistance to powdery mildew, fusarium, phomopsis, and gray mold, as well as good drought, heat, and pest resistance. Its robust root system allows the plant to effectively withstand both air and soil drought, which is especially important under variable climate conditions. Thanks to the Euro-lighting technology, the vegetation period is shortened, which contributes to increased yield and adaptation to different agroclimatic conditions.
The hybrid is recommended for cultivation using the Clear Field® technology, which ensures effective control of broadleaf and grass weeds through the use of imidazolinone group herbicides. Young plants of the hybrid do not experience stress from herbicide treatments, which promotes their rapid growth and development. To achieve maximum yield, it is important to use high-quality seed material, observe optimal sowing dates and seeding rates, follow crop rotation rules, and conduct fall plowing with the application of mineral fertilizers to enrich the soil with nutrients and retain moisture.
