The OAC Glaze soy hybrid, also known as "OAC Astorium," is an ultra-early classic variety of new genetics developed in the USA by Seed Grain in 2023. It has a vegetative period of 80-90 days and belongs to the CHU 2400 MR 000.6 group. This hybrid is characterized by early maturity and high yield, reaching up to 70 centners per hectare. Plants exhibit enhanced cold and drought resistance, as well as resistance to lodging and cracking, ensuring healthy growth throughout the vegetative period. Plant height varies from 85 to 130 cm, and the attachment of lower pods is at a height of 15-20 cm. The seeds are large, yellow with possible variations in shade, with a protein content of 40-41%. The hybrid is recommended for planting on all types of soil and is suitable for most regions of Ukraine at a planting density of 600,000 seeds per hectare. To increase yield and improve nitrogen fixation in soybean plants, it is recommended to use inoculants such as the product ХіСтік Соя. It contains Bradyrhizobium japonicum (strain 532 C) bacteria that facilitate effective uptake of atmospheric nitrogen. The product stabilizes yield even under adverse conditions and is optimally suited for processing small and medium volumes of seeds. Additionally, it is compatible with most fungicides and plant protection agents, has a long shelf life, and can be used in subsequent seasons. Thus, the OAC Glaze hybrid, combined with the application of modern inoculants, ensures high productivity and soybean resilience, making it a profitable choice for farmers aiming for stable and high-quality yields in Ukraine.
