Soybean OAC Calypso

OAC Calypso soybean variety is a medium-maturing, high-yielding new-generation variety with a vegetative period of 120 to 128 days. This variety is characterized by high productivity, reaching a potential yield of up to 90 centners per hectare. Plants have a height of about 90 cm, which contributes to good growth and development throughout the entire vegetative season. The 1000-seed weight varies from 190 to 220 g, indicating large and high-quality seeds.

OAC Calypso has high resistance to cracking, which significantly reduces losses during harvest. The variety is adaptable to various soil types, including sandy and clay soils, ensuring its suitability for diverse climatic and soil conditions, including the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe regions. Flower color is purple, pubescence is brown, and the hilum is light-yellow, which is a characteristic morphological feature.

Oil content in the seeds is approximately 21.2%, and protein content ranges from 39.4% to 43%, making this variety attractive for producing protein- and oil-rich products. The recommended seeding rate is 600,000 to 650,000 seeds per hectare, allowing for optimal plant density and increased yield. Thanks to its characteristics, OAC Calypso is a reliable choice for agricultural producers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable soybean yields.
