Description Nadezhda
Soybean variety «Nadezhda» is a mid-early indeterminate variety with medium-height plants of about 60.9 cm and a growth habit ranging from erect to semi-erect. The plants are characterized by grey pubescence on the main stem, white flowers, and lanceolate-ovate leaflets of the compound leaf. Seeds are of medium size, elongated-ovoid, yellow in color with a yellow hilum; the mass of 1000 seeds is 137 g. The height of attachment of the lower pod is 12.2 cm, with 2-3 seeds in each pod, and the number of internodes varies from 9 to 12, of which 3-4 are located before the first pod. The bush form is compact with medium foliage; inflorescences are presented as racemes with 3-6 flowers on a short peduncle. The «Nadezhda» variety is distinguished by high yield and stability. The average grain yield in the region is 9.5 c/ha, while the maximum indicators reach 19.1-19.5 c/ha, confirming its productivity. Green mass reaches 237 c/ha, and dry matter — 58.4 c/ha. The maturation period is mid-early, with a vegetative period of 106-113 days. The variety is resistant to lodging and shattering of pods, and also demonstrates resistance to major diseases and pests, including Fusarium, Anthracnose, and Bacterial blight, with a damage level comparable to the control variety Altom. However, susceptibility to Ergot is higher than that of the Niva 70 variety. The variety's agrotechnics entail sowing at earlier dates, starting from the beginning of the second decade of May, with a sowing rate of not less than 0.8 million viable seeds per hectare. Harvesting is carried out by direct combine harvesting in a short time, which facilitates the technological process. The main advantages of the variety — powerful biomass, small seeds, and high yield, which makes it attractive for cultivation in the Western Siberian region.
