SOMER 1

Soybean variety «SOMER 1» is an early-maturing grain variety created through hybridization of sister lines followed by multiple selections of elite plants. The plant is determinate, semi-erect in shape, with gray stem pubescence and white flowers. Side leaflets are oval, green, and medium-sized. The lower pod attachment height is 10-15 cm, which contributes to resistance to lodging and shattering. Seeds are elongated, yellow in color with a light-brown hilum and a white "eye." Pods are light-brown. The vegetative period is about 106 days, confirming the early maturity of the variety.

Variety «SOMER 1» is characterized by high nutrient content: protein in seeds ranges from 27.4% to 38.5%, and fats from 18.7% to 24.2%, making it valuable for the food industry. According to independent testing, the variety is suitable for producing soy milk and cheese. Additionally, it exhibits resistance to bacterial blight, ascochytosis, as well as fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases, while resistance to downy mildew is rated as moderate.

The average yield of the variety in the region is about 12.5 c/ha, with maximum rates up to 28.1 c/ha, which was achieved in the Ulyanovsk region. The recommended sowing rate for row sowing is 0.8 million seeds per hectare, and 0.6 million for wide-row sowing. Due to its agronomic and biological characteristics, variety «SOMER 1» is a reliable choice for cultivation in the Volga Region and ensures a stable and high-quality yield.
