Soybean variety Atlanta is a medium-maturing (early-maturing according to some data) grain variety with high yield potential, reaching 4.0 to 4.8 tons per hectare. Plant height varies within 110-130 cm, which contributes to good resistance to lodging. The variety is adapted to various soil-climatic conditions and is distinguished by high resistance to major diseases and stress factors, ensuring stable yields in different regions.
Atlanta is characterized by medium-oil quality with protein content in seeds ranging from 36.9% to 44%, and oil content of about 23.3%. A distinctive feature of the variety is an increased number of pods per plant and higher seed count per pod, with up to 40% of pods containing four seeds, which contributes to increased overall crop productivity. High resistance to seed shattering additionally reduces losses during harvesting.
Variety Atlanta has been included in the State Registers of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and Russia since 2013 and is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. It was developed and registered by LLC "RUSSIAN GENETICS" under the guidance of authors Valentina Grigoryevna Okhatenko, Ruslan Vasilievich Monich, and Tatyana Grigoryevna Asaulets. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and stable yield, Atlanta is a reliable choice for soybean grain production.
