Soybean WOLMA

Working with 'Volma' Soybean

When selecting varieties for northern regions, every day of the growing season counts. 'Volma' by 'Soya-Sever Co' is a robust choice for farmers who prioritize consistency and reliability over uncertain experimental hybrids.

Crop Development and Management
The 90-100 day maturation window is a major advantage, ensuring harvest completion before the onset of the autumn rainy season. With plant heights ranging from 60 to 90 cm, the variety offers excellent mechanical harvestability. The standability is impressive; the plants do not lodge, and the low-set pods are high enough to minimize header losses. As an operator, this means less time spent adjusting the combine and fewer concerns about seed shatter during the harvest.

Seed Quality and Economic Value
The grain quality parameters of 'Volma' make it highly marketable. With an oil content of 22-23% and a protein content ranging between 35% and 43% depending on growing conditions, this soybean is a valuable asset for both feed production and processing facilities. Achieving such high protein levels consistently adds significant value to each ton sold.

Operational Insights

• Predictability: Even in uneven fields, the ripening process remains consistent, simplifying logistics.
• Resilience: The variety handles stress well and doesn't abort pods during temperature fluctuations.
• Efficiency: 'Volma' responds exceptionally well to nitrogen-fixing inoculants, which allows for cost savings on synthetic fertilizers while maintaining strong yields.

Developed by experts O.G. Davydenko and D.V. Holoenko, 'Volma' is a no-nonsense variety. It delivers exactly what it promises—a dependable, efficient, and profitable harvest for operations located in challenging climate zones.
