CHERA 1

Soya variety Chera 1 is an early-maturing determinate variety with a low, semi-erect plant characterized by reddish-brown pubescence on the stem. Plant height varies from 60 to 80 cm, while the height of the lower pod attachment is 10.5-12.4 cm. Leaves are trifoliate, oval-oblong, with medium-intensity green coloration; lateral leaflets are rounded-ovate and small. Flowers are small, purple, gathered in racemes of 5-8 pieces. Pods are weakly curved, brown in color with sparse pubescence, containing 2-3 seeds, and their quantity depends on growing conditions and sowing type.

Chera 1 variety seeds have an elongated or rounded-convex shape, yellow in color with a dark brown or brown-white areole. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 123.4 to 160 g. Protein content in seeds ranges from 31.8-40%, and fat content from 17 to 23.3%, making this variety valuable for obtaining high-protein raw materials. The duration from germination to maturity is 94-116 days depending on agro-meteorological conditions.

Chera 1 variety is resistant to lodging and shattering, as well as having moderate resistance to bacterial and fungal diseases. Yield varies across regions from 11.5 to 31.6 c/ha, with maximum indicators achieved in favorable years. These characteristics make the variety attractive for cultivation in various climatic zones, ensuring a stable and high yield of soya with good technological properties.
