Maize COBALT VX

The hybrid corn NK Cobalt from Syngenta is a medium-maturing simple hybrid intended for grain production. It features a dent kernel type and belongs to FAO group 320, ensuring optimal maturation timing and high grain quality. The hybrid's yield potential is 14–15 tons per hectare, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking stable and high yields. Early plant development and water-use efficiency are rated at 9 out of 10, indicating rapid growth and efficient grain maturation. NK Cobalt exhibits moderate growth rates in early vegetative stages and an erect leaf type, which enhances photosynthetic efficiency. Under favorable conditions, the hybrid can form two marketable ears, further increasing yield. Average grain extraction from ears reaches 83%, confirming the plant's high productivity. Recommended planting density varies by climatic zone: 60–75 thousand plants per hectare in the Forest Steppe and 45–55 thousand in the Steppe. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to adverse environmental factors, including drought, frost, and various diseases such as helminthosporiosis, ear rust, ear Fusarium, and stalk rot. These qualities ensure stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions in Ukraine. Seeds are supplied in packages of 80,000 units, convenient for large-scale agricultural production.
