Sorghum RGT ARMSTRONGG is a mid-early maturing variety with red grain, intended for grain production. Plants reach an average height of 100 to 130 cm, featuring a semi-panicle with elongation from the first leaf at 8 points. This variety exhibits high initial growth rates — 9 points — ensuring rapid development during the early vegetative stage. The variety is characterized by strong stems and disease resistance rated at 8 points, as well as high drought tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
RGT ARMSTRONGG does not contain tannins, which positively affects grain quality and its utilization. Protein content in the grain is 7 points, indicating a good nutritional composition. The recommended plant density at harvest varies depending on the growing region: 110-130 thousand per hectare in drought-prone zones, up to 190-230 thousand per hectare in well-watered zones. This adaptability allows effective use of the variety in various agroclimatic conditions.
The variety is produced in France and Ukraine by the company RAGT Seeds Ukraine, and seeds are treated with Maxim HL for protection and improved germination. The variety is widely used in crop rotations with such crops as corn, sunflower, soybean, winter rapeseed, winter wheat, barley, and durum wheat. High yield, stress and disease resistance, as well as superior grain quality, make RGT ARMSTRONGG a profitable choice for grain production.
