Sorghum Brigga

French breeding for efficient grain production

The «Brigga» sorghum hybrid from the French breeding house RAGT is the answer to the needs of farmers looking for a balance between earliness and high yield potential. In an era of unstable climate, this hybrid occupies a niche of mid-early crops, allowing for efficient crop rotation and avoiding the risks of late-summer droughts.

Agronomic Profile

The «Brigga» model is designed specifically for high-quality grain production. With a growing season of 90–100 days, it is an optimal solution for regions with a limited period of active temperatures. The plant is compact, reaching a height of 110–120 cm, which significantly facilitates mechanical harvesting and reduces strain on combine harvesters.

A distinct feature of this hybrid is its white grain color. In the modern processing industry, white-grained sorghum is highly valued due to the absence of tannins in the seed coat, making it a versatile product for both feed production and the food industry. RAGT's French genetics traditionally prioritize stress resistance, and «Brigga» is no exception—it demonstrates yield stability even in poor soil conditions, provided standard agronomic practices are met.

Why choose RAGT «Brigga»?

• Logistics Optimization: A plant height of 1.2 meters reduces threshing losses.
• Flexible Timing: The 90-100 day vegetation period guarantees maturity even during shorter summers.
• High-Quality Raw Material: White grain offers better marketability for both export and domestic markets.

Choosing this hybrid means relying on proven European breeding by Societe Ragt 2N S.A.S. If your goal is to produce commercial grain with minimal weather-related risks, «Brigga» is a reliable instrument to include in your crop portfolio.
