The plant is characterized by a medium vegetative period of about 115-120 days and a height of 95 to 105 cm. The grain has a yellowish-white color, a round shape with an elliptical profile, and a fully starchy endosperm. The mass of 1000 grains is approximately 25.3 g, and the protein content in the grain reaches 10.8%. The hybrid does not contain tannins, which positively affects its food and technological properties. Yield varies depending on the region, reaching an average of 42.2 c/ha in the North Caucasus region and 20.5 c/ha in the Lower Volga region, with a maximum of 56.8 c/ha recorded in the Rostov region. Sorghum A801 is distinguished by good drought resistance and prefers sunny locations for cultivation. The plant has a deep root system reaching up to 2.5 meters, which contributes to its hardiness on various soil types, especially fertile ones. For optimal growth, it is recommended to maintain a distance between plants of about 30 cm. Despite its resilience, excessive use of nitrogen fertilizers may lead to the development of fungal diseases caused by Fusarium or Macrophomina, so agronomy should take these features into account. The hybrid's produce is widely used in agriculture: grain is used for processing into flour and flour, while the greens serve as animal feed. Sorghum straw can be used as fuel.
