TOMAGAVK is an early-maturing grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) variety distinguished by its high drought and cold resistance, making it versatile for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The plants are of medium height, reaching 92-95 cm, while the mass of 1000 grains ranges from 26.2 to 36 g. This white-grained variety can be used for food purposes, as well as for feeding agricultural animals, poultry, and fish, and for the production of bioethanol and alcohol. The grain contains 10-13% protein and 72-74% starch, ensuring high nutritional value.
The yield of the TOMAGAVK variety is characterized by stability and high productivity. In various regions, it ranges from 15.0 c/ha to maximum figures of 61.9 c/ha, confirming its adaptability and efficiency in agronomic conditions. Early maturity (85-92 days) allows for harvest in short periods, which is especially important for regions with a limited growing season. The variety is resistant to lodging, which facilitates harvesting and reduces crop losses.
To protect seeds and increase resistance to fungal diseases, it is recommended to use the TOMAGAVK seed fungicide based on tebuconazole and flutriafol. This preparation effectively combats a wide range of pathogens, including loose and hard smut, helminthosporiosis, fusarium, root rots, and seed mold. The fungicide is a fluid concentrate diluted with water and applied to seeds, providing protection and improving germination.
