PRINCE is an early-maturing grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor) variety intended for growing green mass. The plant is characterized by medium height and a symmetrical, medium-length, dense panicle. The vegetation period is 76–78 days, which allows for quick harvest. The grain has an oval shape on the back and an elliptical profile, with the endosperm being three-quarters glassy and light yellow in color. The mass of 1000 seeds varies by region and ranges from 31.5 to 42.1 grams. After ripening, the grain acquires a reddish-brown hue, while the anthocyanin coloration of the stigmas and coleoptile is absent or very weak. The PRINCE variety is distinguished by high yield, which in various regions ranges from 52.7 to 78.8 centners per hectare. Due to its resistance to climatic conditions, it is successfully grown in the Middle Volga, Lower Volga, and Ural regions. The plant possesses decorative qualities: wide elongated leaves change color from light caramel to deep copper, while pink panicles appearing at the end of summer give the culture an attractive appearance. These features make sorghum PRINCE not only a valuable agricultural product but also a decorative plant suitable for growing in large containers.
