Sorghum Sugarcane 1

Reliable Silage for High-Performance Livestock

When selecting sorghum for silage, operators prioritize growth predictability and ease of harvest. The «Tsukrove 1» hybrid, developed by the Institute of Steppe Agriculture of the NAAS, is a workhorse for farms seeking the perfect balance between biomass yield and grain nutritional value. With a plant height of 180–200 cm, it is perfectly compatible with standard silage harvesters, ensuring smooth operation without overtaxing the chopping mechanism.

Agronomic Efficiency in the Field

The 120–130 day growth cycle allows for precise harvest scheduling, which is crucial in the volatile climate of the steppe zone. The hybrid exhibits strong resistance to smut (head smut), saving agronomists from unnecessary fungicide applications and reducing the risk of silage degradation during storage.

• Nutritional Value: A protein content of 11–12% and starch levels of 60–70% make this silage a high-value component for cattle rations.
• Harvesting Performance: With a moderate tannin content, the hybrid ensures high feed palatability, which translates into better animal productivity.
• Operational Control: The uniform height (up to 2 meters) minimizes harvesting losses and simplifies field maneuvers for equipment operators.

If you prioritize energy-dense feed with high sugar and starch concentrations, this Ukrainian hybrid is a reliable asset for your agricultural cycle. The balance between maturation time and plant morphology ensures consistent tonnage per hectare without the need for complex, resource-heavy protection schemes.
