Dnipro 39

Sorghum Dnipro 39 is a high-yielding grain variety recommended for cultivation in steppe zones. It is characterized by a medium or early vegetation period lasting 100-105 days, allowing effective use in various climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 95-105 cm, ensuring optimal conditions for yield formation.

The grain of this variety is light-brown in color, with high protein (13.4%), starch (75.8%) and lysine (3.3%) content, making it suitable for food industry. The thousand-grain weight is 25-28 grams. Sorghum Dnipro 39 is distinguished by high yield — 6.5-7.0 tons per hectare, which is a significant advantage for agricultural producers.

The variety demonstrates high resistance to adverse factors: drought (8 points), lodging (8 points), lodging (7 points) and infection by major diseases (7 points). These characteristics ensure stable yields even under adverse weather conditions. The developer of the variety is the Sineĺnikovskaya Selection and Research Station of the Institute of Grain Crops of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, and the variety was registered in 2000.
